Normally cars will go on single charge based on installed batteries inside.

As an example Tata Nexon comes with 30.2 KW Battery & They are claiming 312 KM for full charge. 

Similarly MG car comes with 44.5 KW Battery & They are claiming 340 KM for full charge.

These figures are different based on Driver’s driving speed / AC  etc.

During Electric car charging electricity is used so obviously it is based on tariff applied at charging location.

If you are charging your vehicle at a charging station then of course it is costly compared to our own place.

This is Depends on Batteries installed inside the car.

As an example Tata Nexon comes with 30.2 KW Battery – Means we will say it takes around 31 Units during Full charge.

If your electricity supplier will bill Rs 8/- per unit then cost of the full charge will be Rs. 248/-

Similarly MG car comes with 44.5 KW Battery – Means we will say it takes 45 units during full charge.

If your electricity supplier will bill Rs 8/- per unit then cost of the full charge will be Rs. 360/-

Power consumption in India is in terms of KWH .

This power consumption is directly related to the installed capacity of Battery in KW.

As an example Tata Nexon comes with a 30,2 KW Battery so it consumes 31 units during full charge.

Similarly MG car comes with 44.5 KW Battery so it consumes 45 units during full charge.

In India it varies between Rs 18/- per unit to Rs 25 per unit.

Go Charge Chargers come with multiple features which might not be there in the Basic charger provided by your car company.

These features may include – Faster Charging rate , Safety & protection , Access control , Smart charging features etc.

Now regarding profitability for the above said example is around 35% to 40% of the amount billed against consumed units during charging.

If you are going with a 30KW DC Charger then you have to take 30KW , 3 phase

415V AC Input supply connection.

If you are going with a 60KW DC Charger then you have to take 60KW , 3 Phase

It varies from state to state in India.

As an example in Gujarat we will say for DC 30 KW Fast charger expenses will be around Rs 75 Thousand to Rs 1 Lacs approximately. & for DC 60 KW Fast charger expenses will be around Rs 2 lacs to Rs 2,5 Lacs approximately.

In India for 4 wheelers most of the cars have CCS2 connector for Fast DC Charging & Type 2 connector for AC Charging.

Above Time to Charge EV with a 30-kWh battery is the time to raise the battery’s charge level from 10% to 80%
